Corsair K65 Plus Wireless Keyboard Review

Epilogue

The K65 Plus Wireless sets a new standard for gaming peripherals with its sleek design, advanced features, and unparalleled performance. Whether you’re a competitive gamer looking to gain an edge or a casual player seeking a stylish and reliable keyboard, the K65 Plus will be at your side, offering high performance, silent operation, and high versatility. Moreover, it will only occupy minimal space on your desk, providing more freedom to your mouse.

I know it is not affordable, but besides the hardware part, you should also look at the provided support and the software that took years to develop and reach its current state. I wasn’t a strong supporter of iCUE in the past. I preferred not to install it since it was heavy and difficult to use. However, this changed with the newer versions that download only the modules required for your setup. Since most users don’t change keyboards frequently but keep them for many years, it is safe to assume that a keyboard purchase is an investment since it will allow you to interact better and more easily with your PC. There are numerous (relatively unknown) brands on Amazon, with products sold at a fraction of the price of the K65 Plus Wireless. Still, you should consider the level of support and the overall quality and usability of these products before you decide to follow the “cheap” way.

The wireless functionality, the large battery, and the advanced switches with the RGB lighting don’t leave room for a bargain price tag, but once you get your hands on this keyboard, you will immediately realize why its price tag is 160 dollars. This was the case for me, at least. Moreover, you can change the switches if you want, which provides lots of freedom to enthusiast users. Although I am not a big fan of Red Switches, I became familiar with the Corsair MLX Red even during long writing sessions! I know they are mostly suitable for gaming, but unfortunately, no time is available for gaming sessions. I can only do some “gaming” during the GPU benchmarking until I manage to make it fully automatic!
