The DeepCool PN850M uses a well-known CWT platform codenamed GPX. It is between CWT’s CSZ and GPW platforms regarding cost and performance. The upgraded GPX platform is compatible with the ATX v3.1 spec, meaning it can repeatedly deliver double its full power for very short periods (0.1ms) without sweating. This is not so important for the current generation GPUs, which don’t have such high power spikes, but nobody can know what the future will bring. Hence, it is better to have a future-proof PSU in your system when you will be forced to change your graphics card if you want to keep up with the new and demanding game titles.
