Deepcool PN1000M ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Box & Bundle

No box came with this sample, so here is a photo of Hazelnut!

This is the typical DeepCool PSU design, with the weird-looking fan grille with large openings allowing for good airflow. The PSU’s dimensions are compact enough, given its max power, thanks to the 150mm length. At its front size, the exhaust grille has rectangle perforations instead of the typical honeycomb-style ones, and the power switch has a distinctive color.

Around the back, the modular panel hosts eleven sockets, one of which is a 12V-2×6 header.

Cables

Modular Cables
Description Cable Count Connector Count (Total) Gauge In Cable Capacitors
ATX connector 20+4 pin (540mm) 1 1 18AWG No
4+4 pin EPS12V (700mm) 2 2 16AWG No
6+2 pin PCIe (550mm) 3 3 16AWG No
12+4 pin PCIe (600mm) (600W) 1 1 16-24AWG No
SATA (450mm+120mm+120mm+120mm) / 4-pin Molex (+120mm) 2 8 / 2 18AWG No

The provided cables are the essential ones, to keep the cost down. Three PCIe 6+2 pin connectors on dedicated cables are enough; from the moment, there is a 12+4 pin PCIe set to 600W. The number of peripheral cables will also cover most of the usage scenarios. If you need more than two 4-pin Molex connectors, which are not widely used anymore, you can buy an additional cable since there is an empty 6-pin socket on the PSU’s modular board. Lastly, all cables are individually sleeved.

The only issues I see here are the relatively short ATX cable, which should be 600mm long, ideally, and the short distance between the peripheral connectors.
