Cooler Master GX III 1050W ATX v3.0 PSU Review

Hold Up Time

The hold-up time is long enough, and the power ok signal is accurate.

Inrush Current

I tried hard to take any inrush current readings, but the outcome was always close to zero. This is why you won’t see this PSU listed in this chart. This means dead low inrush current, so it is good.

Timings

The PSU supports Alternative Low Power Modes.

  1. Hi, confused on the review. In the first page it alludes to the 1250W version and also says it’s Platinum efficiency but specs and picture shows Gold.

If its 1050W, ATX 3.0 and Platinum, it would be the perfect one for me so unsure on the details provided. Thanks.

  2. It is Platinum in Cybenetics, while Gold in 80 PLUS. Cybenetics measures efficiency using a different approach than 80 PLUS, taking thousands of measurements instead of only 3-4.

So the 1050 is Cybenetics Platinum, while the 1250 is Cybenetics Gold.
