1st Player NGDP 750W PSU Review

The 1st Player NGDP 750W is an ATX v3.1 compliant power supply, made by Helly Technologies. A not so known OEM, which however offers good products. Besides Cybenetics Platinum efficiency, this unit is also Cybenetics A noise rated, meaning that it has a quiet operation.

The 1st Player NGDP 750W will be included in my best ATX v3.x & PCIe 5.x PSU picks article.

1st Player’s mother company is Helly Technology, a PSU OEM providing platforms to other brands (e.g., Lian Li) besides 1st Player. The NGDP line belongs to the higher-end ATX v3.1 category, including performance units with good build quality and parts. The question at hand is whether some of the big brands will give Helly a shot to offer something different from the typical platforms that dominate the ATX v3.0 and 3.1 categories.

The 1st Player NGDP 750W is the fourth member of the corresponding line I will evaluate. It achieves a Cybenetics Gold efficiency rating at 115V and Platinum at 230V. It also has a Cybenetics A noise rating, translating to an average noise output within the 20-25 dBA region. Thanks to the 140mm length and an ATX v3.1 compliance rating, which Cybenetics confirms, this is a fully modular PSU with compact dimensions. The provided warranty is ten years long, which shows Helly’s faith in this platform.
