1st Player NGDP 1300W PSU Review

Box & Bundle

The box is small, and its graphics design is conservative but elegant. It provides good protection, and the bundle accompanying the PSU is rich, including zip ties, Velcro straps, a PSU jump-starter, fixing bolts, and lots of paperwork.

Product Photos

The dimensions of the PSU are super compact, given the 1300W max power. The fan’s grill has large perforations, allowing for good airflow. The red button at the front controls the semi-passive operation. I would use a different color for this button since red usually means trouble.

A sticker covers the bottom side, providing interesting information, including the power specs.

The modular panel has 13x sockets, which are enough to allow for a smooth power transfer without high voltage drops. There is a sticker informing you not to use the 8-pin socket, which is right next to the 12VHPWR, to avoid overheating them.

Cables

Modular Cables
Description Cable Count Connector Count (Total) Gauge In Cable Capacitors
ATX connector 20+4 pin (610mm) 1 1 16-22AWG No
4+4 pin EPS12V (650mm) 2 2 16AWG No
6+2 pin PCIe (600mm) 4 4 16AWG No
12+4 pin PCIe (720mm) (600W) 1 1 16-24AWG No
4-pin Molex (450mm+145mm+145mm+145mm) 1 4 18AWG No
SATA (450mm+150mm+150mm+150mm) 3 12 18AWG No
AC Power Cord (1360mm) – C13 coupler 1 1 18AWG

The PSU has a sufficient number of individually sleeved cables and connectors to transfer its power without issues such as increased voltage drops. The number of SATA and 4-pin Molex connectors is adequate, and the distance between all peripheral connectors is ideal. The EPS cables are also long enough. I want the ATX cable to reach 650mm for no issues, even at a huge chassis. Lastly, the cable configuration is identical to the 1000W model.
