Enermax Liqmaxflo 360mm A-RGB AIO Review

Epilogue

The Enermax Liqmaxflo 360mm has a fair price of 128 dollars while offering high-enough performance, which doesn’t stand out from the crowd. I should state here that the design choice to tie the pump’s speed with the VRM fan is not right since the latter can spin at up to 3000 RPM, so the noise output will be notable. Users might want to boost the pump’s speed without increased noise, but this is impossible. This is why, in my tests, I used the same PWM setting in all moving parts of this cooler to see the real-life performance. At lower speeds, the pump’s speed affects temperatures, but at higher speeds, this is not a problem. Thankfully, the AIO’s fans are not noisy, keeping the maximum noise output at 36 dBA at full speed, which is in the air-cooler territory and not the AIO one.

The VRM fan is a strong asset in every AIO since, besides the mainboard’s VRMs, it can also cool down the RAM DIMMs. It doesn’t play any role in the CPU’s cooling, so Enermax should provide two separate power cables for the VRM fan and the block’s pump. On the other hand, the daisy-chain scheme of the radiator fans is excellent, outputting only a single cable, which then splits into two connectors, one for power and one for the ARGB lighting. If you don’t want to connect the cooler’s fans to a mainboard ARGB header or don’t have a spare one, you can use the provided control to manually adjust the RGB effects.

If you don’t need radiator fans with RGB lighting and require a slimmer radiator, you can look at the Liqmaxflo SR versions, which come at lower prices. The Enermax Liqmaxflo has a good price, given its specifications and performance, but it has to wait until Arctic’s promo prices on the Freezer III AIOs end. This applies not only to Enermax products but also to any other brand’s AIO products. The Arctic eliminated the need for distributors, which allowed for a vast price decrease, creating huge problems for the competition. While the Liquid Freezer III products are sold at such low prices, they are highly attractive to most buyers.
