Thermal Performance – Noise Normalized 25 dBA
Torture (Prime95 + Furmark) Thermal Results
The CPU temperature set a new high at 89.3 deg. C., only slightly higher than the considerably smaller Invader X BTF. The GPU thermals were great. The NVMe and PSU temperatures were slightly higher than average, but the VRM, chassis exhaust, and chipset were better.
Gaming Results
The CPU temperature is improved relative to the torture test. The GPU performance is similar to the torture test. The rest were improved as the stress is lower.
CPU & GPU Average Clock Frequencies
We have to look at the average CPU and GPU clocks to get a complete picture since higher clocks mean more thermal load, which pushes the cooling system more. If we have two cooling systems with only a 1-2 degrees Celsius difference and a 100-200 MHz difference in the clock speeds of the CPU or the GPU, it is easy to find the best performer.
As expected, CPU core frequencies in Gaming were significantly better than in Torture. GPU frequencies in both Gaming and Torture were high.
