Enermax Revolution D.F.12 850W PSU Review

Average Noise

The average noise output is high!

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C

[115V] The passive operation only lasts for a very short period. My best guess for this is the high load on the minor rails. The fan starts at speeds exceeding 800 RPM, with noise output within 25-30 dBA. At 460W, noise exceeds 30 dBA, while at 500W, it exceeds 35 dBA. At 595W, noise goes over 40 dBA, and with 750W is in the 45-50 dBA zone.

  1. My 9060XT 16GB graphics card has a typical board power (TBP) of 160W to 182W, which requires 13.3A to 15.2A of current. The card uses a 6+2 pin PCIe connector (600mm), but many power supplies use a mix of 16AWG and 18AWG wires for these connectors. Will the 18AWG wires be able to safely handle that much current?
