Deepcool is the first to offer highly affordable ATX v3.1 PSUs through its PL-D series. This is the first time I see an outdated platform using a double-forward topology that can deliver up to 200% of its maximum power for short periods while keeping its rails within the specified limits. The PL-D line consists of four members, with capacities ranging from 550W to 800W. In this review, I will evaluate the strongest member of the line, and in future reviews, I will look at the rest of the line’s models. I am curious to check on the performance of an older platform under the newest transient response requirements.
