The OEM of this PSU is Helly Technology, the mother company behind 1st Player. The platform’s PCB is small, and the design is clean, without cables blocking airflow. Despite the small PCB, there is enough clearance between parts to allow for easy and quick heat transfer. A large heatsink semi-surrounds the main transformer. Compared to other platforms, especially the ones by CWT, the heatsinks are large enough and high in number. As you can see in the first photos, this PCB is used for six variations of this model, from 850W up to 1300W.

Helly uses an APFC converter on the primary side, a full bridge topology, and an LLC resonant converter. On the secondary side, we find the typical stuff: a synchronous rectification scheme for 12V and a pair of DC-DC converters for the minor rails. The FETs that Helly used don’t belong to tier 1 manufacturers to keep the cost low, but this can affect the PSU’s reliability, especially at high operating temperatures for prolonged periods. On the other hand, the selection of electrolytic caps is good since products from reliable Japanese brands are used.

The 1000W model that I evaluated had a Yate Loon fan of lower quality, while this one uses a higher-quality Hong Hua fan. Hopefully, 1st Player will keep this fan change despite the increased cost.
