According to Scythe, the fan has a maximum intake area because of the minimum-thickness frame, which allows for larger blades. Moreover, the gap between the blade and the frame is reduced to increase performance. Rubber pads reduce vibrations on the fan’s corners, preventing annoying noise generated by resonance.
The fan blades and frame are made of glass fiber-reinforced LCP (Liquid Crystal Polymer), a polymer offering high strength and dimensional stability while being highly heat resistant.
