Phanteks T30-120 Cooling Fan Review – ReCheck!

Normalized Noise Tests

For these tests, I set the fan to speeds with noise output at the following predefined levels: 20/25/30/35/40/45 dBA. I skip the corresponding tests if the fan under the test cannot reach some noise levels. The speeds shown in the graph below are measured with the fan in a clear space inside my hemi-anechoic chamber without any obstacles. I set these speeds on the Longwin machine, but they slightly change because of the variable conditions that the device applies.

It’s been a while since I had a fan that can go up to 35 dBA, meaning I have to test four different levels.

20 dBA Noise Output

Top performance here in airflow and static pressure. Moreover, power consumption is not high.

25 dBA Noise Output

Top performance in airflow, while in static pressure, it loses first place from the XPG Nidec Vento Pro by a small margin. Power consumption is increased at this speed.

30 dBA Noise Output

First place in both airflow and static pressure, with increased power consumption.

35 dBA Noise Output

First place in airflow and static pressure!

40 dBA Noise Output

First place again! In both airflow and static pressure.
