Lian Li UNI FAN TL LCD 140 Review

Output Noise

I use a Class 1 Bruel & Kjaer 2270 G4 sound analyzer equipped with a Type 4955a microphone with a dBA-weighted dynamic range of below 6 dBA and up to 110 dBA. All tests are conducted inside a hemi-anechoic chamber with a noise floor close to 6 dBA and an ambient temperature of 25–28 °C. The test subject is placed a meter from the sound analyzer.

Full & 70% Speed

The output noise is not high, given the fan’s speeds.

Speed (Percentage) – Noise

I use a different setup to drive the fan for noise measurements, so there might be a difference in the readings of the Longwin machine, especially in the max fan speed reading.

  1. Definitely DONNOT BUY THOSE FANS!

    REASONS:
    – L CONNECT doing nothing consumes 7% of your resources.
    – each LCD screen consumes 3 to 7% of resources, especially animation or gauges. Only static images don’t consume.
    – they seem to fail in under two years, when this happens replacing is a pain since they are interlocked.

When I turn all my screens to cpu gauge, it read 45% utilization just because of lian lis crappy software. 9950x, 4090, 192gb ram.

I even stopped buying their cases as a result, after 20 years of brand loyalty it evaporated due to these fans. L connect is a frankenstein as is their line of 30 incompatible unnecessarily diverse fan lines.
