Corsair has been an established brand since ’94 for PC components and gaming hardware. Its subsidiaries are Elgato, Origin, Scuf, Gamer Sensei, and the latest addition, Drop. This review’s subject is the wired K70 Core mechanical gaming keyboard with RGB and a current price tag of 80 dollars. This full-size keyboard has a control dial in the top right corner and is equipped with the new CORSAIR MLX Red linear mechanical switches.
Mechanical keyboards used to be super expensive, especially those sold by Corsair. However, the constant release of new types of mechanical switches and the increased popularity of these products led more brands and factories into the game, so the cost decreased since the production and the competition increased. You don’t have to pay over 150 or 200 dollars for a decent mechanical keyboard. The K70 Core is a fine example of that, costing 80 dollars. I know that many of you will still argue that 80 dollars is not a low amount, but you should always keep in mind that a good keyboard will last for many years while improving your performance and the overall interaction with your system. After all, the main ways we “talk” to our PCs remain the keyboard and the mice.
