Lian Li UNI FAN TL LCD 140 Review

Epilogue

The Lian Li UNI FAN TL LCD 140 is a fan with some impressive features. Its LCD screen is mind-blowing! The videos and images it produces are of high quality and very bright! With several fans installed in series, you can create impressive effects thanks to the highly convenient daisy-chain feature. The only problem is that Lian Li asks for 52 dollars for each of these fans, and you will need the triple-package, which includes the controller required to connect them to your system since they use propriety connectors. You also need space in your chassis, preferably behind the mainboard’s tray, to install the controller. You will also need an extra PCIe connector from the PSU to power the controller, but this won’t be a problem for most PSUs which have more than enough PCIe cables and connectors.

Although the actual static pressure is not close to what is advertised, the fan still tops the respective charts in normalized noise output. There is no need for increased rotation speeds to achieve high static pressure, making this fan ideal for cooling solutions. Given the not-that-high airflow, I wouldn’t invest so much money to have these fans installed into a chassis unless I wanted the impressive effects of the LCD screens.
