The Cooler Master MF120 HALO² deserves a review since it is a top-rated product, but I haven’t found the time to evaluate it so far. To be more exact, I had taken all tests, but a review requires way more than test data. An automated fan testing machine like the Longwin apparatus in my procession saves you lots of time. Still, there are things that you have to do manually and require lots of time, including noise evaluation.
According to CM, the new LED rings of this fan provide 50% more lighting, which will please users who need more intense light inside their systems. Moreover, the corner dampers, used for reducing vibrations, don’t sacrifice the fan blade area, thanks to the frame’s design. CM also states that the fan blades have been increased by 10%, compared to the previous model, most likely for higher performance. Lastly, the fan is offered in black and white versions to match your chassis’ color.
The fan uses a rifle bearing, which is way better than a plain sleeve bearing but is still inferior to fluid dynamic and hydrodynamic bearings, which cost more.
