Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280 A-RGB AIO Review – Great Performance Per Price!

Overall Performance (Intel)

To calculate each cooler’s overall performance, I take into account three factors, the CPU’s temperature, wattage, and frequency, by using the following equation:

(Wattage / Temperature) x Frequency

Each chart shows the cooler under test as 100% and every other product’s performance as relative to it.

The overall performance is impressive because it is close or even better in some normalized noise tests compared to the much more expensive and larger Corsair iCUE H170i Elite. Arctic delivered once more. With stronger fans at full speed, it would have a higher place, but who runs its cooling at full speed nowadays?

Performance Per Price (Intel)

The MSRP is decent at $140, but the promo price, for as long as it lasts, is a steal at $98.55! If you don’t care for ARGB lighting, you can get the plain version at a lower price, but till the promo period is active (May 20th, 2024), the price difference between the plain and ARGB versions is not that high.

      1. I guess he did not realize that in ALL reviews’ charts of “CPU Wattage” category, there is the wording “Avarage Power Consumption – *Lower* is Better”, INSTEAD OF “Avarage Power Consumption – *Higher* is Better”. It is just kind of a typo or whatever. I hope it is fixed. Howsoever, this review is outstanding!

  1. Hi, great review as always.
I see on Amazon France the 280 normal at 71€ and 83€ for the rgb.

If you could add on the backlog the newest Thermaltake TOUGHFAN EX12 Pro, i ordered the 3 pack version. Hope it performs as well as the 12 Pro.

Thanks <3 (we need more cat pictures)
