Thermaltake assigned the manufacturing of the PF3 units to two OEMs, HKC and CE Link. The latter has a manufacturing line in Vietnam, so its products won’t have as high US importation tariffs as the ones made in China. Still, the PF3 750 has a much higher price tag than the GF A3, which has a similar capacity. I will try to determine if the high price is justified by performance and build quality or if you will be better with the more affordable unit, which is covered by the same ten-year warranty.
The PF3 750 is Platinum certified by Cybenetics, and it has a Cybenetics Α- (25-30 dB[A]) noise rating, meaning that its fan noise is kept relatively low. Regarding the cooling fan, TT speaks of a fluid dynamic bearing, which might be true, but the fan is not from a known OEM, which doesn’t align with the PSU’s stiff price. I expected to find at least a Hong Hua fan in this price range.
