Average Noise
The average noise remains below 30 dBA at both voltage inputs I tried. Most other similar-capacity PSUs are close to the noise levels of the GF A3 unit.

[115V] The unit’s passive operation doesn’t last long, and the load on the minor rails doesn’t affect it notably. During the passive operation, the fan doesn’t spin even for small periods, so it won’t be annoying. With more than 200W, load noise slightly increases to above 15 dBA, and from 250W to 540W, noise is within the 25-30 dBA range. The 30 dBA mark is passed at >540W loads; with 610W and more, the unit’s fan goes over 35 dBA.

Different OEM, the GF3 (up to 1200W) is by CWT, the GF A3 by HKC.
