The Deepcool PQ1000G is an ATX v3.1 PSU, meaning that it can deliver up to 2000W of power, for short periods (0.1ms), without any problems. It comes with a 12V-2×6 cable, with the corresponding connector set at 600W, so it won’t have any problem powering the power-hungry NVIDIA RTX 4090 and the upcoming 5090!
The Deepcool PQ1000G will be included in my best ATX v3.x & PCIe 5.x PSU picks article.
Deepcool’s PSU department has been highly active lately, releasing, among other things, the PQ-G line. The PQ-G line will be first available in the Chinese market, with the rest of the markets following soon. All PQ-G members use Helly platforms. Helly Technology looks to get stronger as time passes, which is good since the more competitors, the better the products. In this review, I will look at the second-strongest member of the line, with model number PQ1000G. It is a fully modular power supply with compact dimensions, thanks to its 140mm depth, and it is equipped with a 12V-2×6 cable that can deliver up to 600W of power, supporting all high-end graphics cards. AMD still hasn’t jumped on the 12V-2×6 connector wagon. AMD is probably waiting for when it will be mature enough to do so. At the same time, NVIDIA supported it from the start, dealing with several problems during its development.
