The Deepcool PL750D is probably the most affordable ATX v3.1 750W PSU. To achieve such a low price, it uses an older platform, provided by Helly Technology. Despite its age, this platform can deliver up to 200% of its max power for short periods, making compatible with the PCIe 5.1 CEM.

- Deepcool PL800D: The most affordable ATX v3.1 PSU!
Deepcool is the first to offer highly affordable ATX v3.1 PSUs through its PL-D series. I have already evaluated the PL800D, which performed decently given its price tag. It is not that easy for an older design to output 200% of its max power, to be compatible with the requirements of the PCIe 5.1 CEM, but somehow Helly Technology managed to do that. The PL-D line consists of four members, with capacities ranging from 550W to 800W. In this review, I will evaluate the second-strongest member of the line, and in future reviews, I will look at the rest of the line’s models.
