ADX FIREFIGHT CORE 23: An affordable 60% keyboard

Box & Bundle

The keyboard is in plain, eco-friendly carton packaging with no plastic added and 50% recyclable materials—nothing to add or complain about. Still, seeing recyclable materials used is a nice addition to my book. The box doesn’t offer any manual, but I don’t think it would be much of use. The device is plug-and-play.

The images above show that the ADX FIREFIGHT CORE 23 is appealing. The RGB lighting is discreet, which won’t disappoint the average RGB fan but won’t be intrusive—a perfect RGB balance. Moreover, you can change the RGB brightness or set it entirely off by combing the FN key with the corresponding letter key, e.g., K. The cable is of quite good sleeved quality, but don’t expect to be knot-free. It is a cheap keyboard, after all. That said, the overall build quality of the device is mediocre. Not too bad, but still, it shows that it is a budget keyboard. I have seen more expensive keyboards with worse build quality, though. So, I can’t be too strict. Don’t expect to be fully satisfied if you are a demanding user. By the price, you should understand that this device is not for you. Still, it is a decent offer.

There is a clicking sound that shows that the PCB is not of high quality, as well. The keys are pretty sturdy but can’t be removed easily. In my experience, cleaning might be a bit challenging. Moreover, it offers decent rubber pads on the back side, but no height adjusters, that might be annoying to some users. There is no reason to write more at this point. The rest info is performance-wise, so let us proceed to the latter heading.
