Wanbo X5 Projector Review

The Wanbo X5 is an affordable HD projector, offering high performance and endless nights of watching your favorites movies and series. It is way larger than the T2 MAX that I reviewed recently, so I expect better specs and lower noise output.

Wanbo Technology is a Chinese brand founded in 2016 that develops DLP, single LCD projectors, and offers projector services. The company’s official website is szwanbo. cn, where all the projectors are displayed. There are plenty of models to choose from based on your individual needs, the environment in which you will be placing the projector and your budget! I liked the brand’s motto: You Happy, I Happy! It has positive vibes, which we all need!

The model I am reviewing today is the Wanbo X5 projector with 1100 ANSI, which offers a wide color gamut and AI that takes care of almost everything for you. ANSI lumens and its internal memory and interaction with multiple devices should be the primary criterion when buying a projector.

  1. What does HD 1080p means?
The review says it is native 1080p, although the end says it is HD only.
Is there a hidden quality when evalluating projectors?

  2. Hello, contrary to what is advertised, it is possible to attach the X5 to a projector: simply peel off the rubber pads under the device to reveal tapped holes.

        1. I had a call with Netflix support and told me that i cannot stream Netflix on a projector. I changed the password but still it didn’t work. Very nice projector but i cannot use it if i dont have access to streaming services. I will return it by the end of the week. Tried to update the firmware but the zip files on the company’s site were empty.

  3. Hello, I want to ask how it is from the focus distance. I would like to know if the projector is placed more than 4 meters, whether the image will be well focused or not. The manufacturer sells 1.3-4 meters. I want to place the projector more than 4 meters away, so it won’t be a problem and the image will be blurry. Thank you and have a nice day. 🙂
