SilverStone Vista 140 ARGB Fan Review

Epilogue

The SilverStone Vista 140 ARGB offers high airflow but not that high static pressure, so it is not suitable for cooling solutions, although it will be okay for chassis. Thanks to its ARGB lighting, it will provide nice effects, and you can sync multiple fans through your mainboard’s software, if you have a compatible model, of course, or through an ARGB controller.

Airflow is high in the normalized noise tests, taking the lead from the more expensive Shark Force 140 ARGB at 20 dBA. At 25 dBA and 30 dBA, the Vista fan is slightly lower than the Shark Force in airflow but loses notably in static pressure. So, the SilverStone Shark Force is an ideal choice if you want increased static pressure besides airflow. Moreover, the Shark Force also supports daisy chain, which will help you the most during installation. Unfortunately the Vista doesn’t support daisy chain in its power cable. Only its ARGB cables can be connected, but these are long enough to create cable rooting headaches.

In the 140mm section, the best performer in general so far is the EKWB EK Loop FTP 140 D-RGB, but the maximum noise difference with the SilverStone Shark Force 140 ARGB is 5.4 dBA, so in the normalized noise output tests, the Shark Force 140 ARGB has the lead. The latter costs 35 dollars on Amazon, while the Vista goes for 24.4 dollars, so we are talking about a notable price difference, which will be even more severe if you want to get three or more fans for your chassis.
