MSI MAG CoreLiquid E360 AIO Review – It could be better

Epilogue

The MSI Mag CoreLiquid E360 has a 20% larger cold plate than the previous generation cooler, but it still doesn’t stand out from the crowd of other highly-competitive AIOs. The increased price of $140 doesn’t help either, dropping the performance per price ratio. The lack of a daisy-chain option for the fans is another letdown for me since, besides the power cables, you will also have to deal with the ARGB ones. MSI should adopt a system similar to the one that the EKWB EK-Nucleus AIO CR360 Lux D-RGB AIO uses for daisy chaining both power and ARGB cables from the fans, dramatically reducing the amount of cables that users have to deal with.

If you want top performance and low noise output and you don’t want to go the air-cooling way, I suggest you invest 20 dollars more and get the Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360 Atmos. It might have a stiff price at $160, but it offers top performance even at low speeds, flying circles around the MAG CoreLiquid E360. I am sorry, MSI, but you have to try harder.

The good parts of this product are the quality fans, which, according to the official specs, can stand up to 40℃ operating temperatures, the moment most FDB fans provide life expectancy at 25℃, the five-year warranty, and the compact size of the block, which has a large enough cold-plate to support CPUs with huge heatspreaders, including AMD’s Threadripper products.

If you are searching for fans for your AIO or chassis, read my Best Cooling Fans article before investing in new cooling solutions. You help me a lot by using my affiliate links, which don’t increase the product’s price. I get a commission from Amazon every time you do it, which can make a difference for me, especially now that I am on my own, working exclusively for my media and not for someone else.
