NZXT went back to the drawing board to refresh their chassis lineup, emerging with a sleek, minimal new design language, and the H5 didn’t escape the makeover! But is it all just design flair, or is there function beneath the form?
The H5 is yet another updated chassis from NZXT’s H Series. We’ll be taking a look at the H5 Flow RGB (2024), but for the sake of simplicity, let’s just refer to it as the H5 from now on.
It’s a significant departure from the 2022 and 2023 design language, adopting NZXT’s new 2024 aesthetic, recently seen in the H3 and H9, as showcased at Computex 2025. The redesign eliminates the magnetic dust filter on top in favor of a steel panel with integrated mesh, and it completely overhauls both the PSU enclosure and the front panel. These changes make the H5 stand out more than ever.
It has a lot to offer in terms of usability, too. NZXT has been quite vocal about its cooling performance, highlighting the mesh design of the panels, which eliminates the need for dust filters while effectively directing airflow to cool internal components.
It also inherits some of the perks (like the USB 3.2 Gen 2 port) from its bigger brother, the H7, which we recently reviewed. So, let’s see what the H5 brings to the table and whether it’s the right fit for your needs!
