The fan’s passive operation lasts long enough if you don’t push the max combined load on the minor rails above 65W. The 30 dBA mark is passed at around 690W and lasts up to 1010W, where the PSU’s fan swiftly increases its noise to above 40 dBA. The sweet region for low noise output is below 690W at 12V and below 65W on the minor rails. This is at normal operating temperatures, at the chassis internals, from 28-32 °C.
