MSI MPG A1000GS PCIE5 ATX v3.1 PSU Review

The MSI MPG A1000GS promises for a quiet operation and it has two 12V-2×6 connectors, which is weird for its capacity. Usually PSUs with over 1500W of max power come with a pair of high-power connectors. In any case, read the full review to find out more about its performance!

The MSI MPG A1000GS ATX v3.1 is (or will be) included in my best ATX v3.x & PCIe 5.x PSU picks article.

MSI recently introduced three new PSUS, the high-end MEG Ai1600T PCIE5, the MPG A1000GS, and the MPG A850GS. I have already reviewed the first and will deal with the second in this review.

The MPG series belongs to MSI’s high-end product portfolio, aiming at enthusiast users and mostly gamers who, besides good performance, also want a sleek design. Like any of them will look at the PSU, but anyway, this is what MSI states on the product’s page. CWT makes the PSU and utilizes a semi-digital platform with an MCU controlling the APFC converter. I will dive more into this during the part analysis.

The MSI MPG A1000GS ATX v3.1 has a price of 190 dollars, which is fair for its specs, but I will have the complete picture after I finish all the tests.

  1. Hi, Aris! I scrolled down Enermax’s website, and came up with Enermax Revolution III. It is said to be ATX 3.1, and i’m pretty sure it’s a replacement for Revolution DF judging from its price

Would you be consider to review this unit? Thanks
