Deepcool PL550D: ATX v3.1 (almost) PSU at €49!

Average Noise

The average noise output is high, considering its capacity. We should also consider though the platform’s not-so-high efficiency, which increases the thermal loads; hence, the cooling fan has to work more to remove the heat.

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C

[115V] There is no semi-passive operation, and the fan starts at high speeds, above 1000 RPM, so noise output is within 20-25 dBA from the start. At around 350W at 12V, the 30 dBA mark is passed, and with more than 405W, noise exceeds 35 dBA. Even in the worst-case scenario, noise is within the 35-40 dBA range.

Also does this PL550D have a 12V2X6 connector?

  2. Hello. Thank you for the information about this product. Did you measure the hold up time of this PSU under 100% load?
