I use the Powenetics system to measure power consumption in every significant part of the mainboard, with up to 1000 readings per second. The power demands of the 8600G APU are low, in general.

In the single-thread scenario, I measured SuperPi, where the 8600G performed terribly (the same was the case with the 8700G), so naturally, I didn’t expect it to be highly efficient. At multi-thread usage, the APU performs way better.
