Max Operating Temperature
To check the operating temperatures, I run Blender instead of Prime95 and small FFTs, which applies an unrealistically high load to the CPU.
Temperatures are not sky-high, but it makes an impression that the 8600G has increased temperatures compared to the 8700G. Note I used the same cooling solution for both CPUs (DeepCool Assasin IV). In the table below, I provide the AVG and Max power consumption of the 8600G and 8700G during Blender, along with the AVG and Peak APU temperatures and AVG speed.
APU | AVG Power Consumption | Max Power Consumption | AVG APU Temperature | Max APU Temperature | AVG Frequency |
Ryzen 7 8700G | 88.781W | 98.091W | 67.86C | 72.88C | 4634.38 MHz |
Ryzen 5 8600G | 76.815W | 102.51W | 73.55C | 85.12C | 4816.38 MHz |

The 8600G does include a cooler, it includes the wraith stealth
