AMD Ryzen 5 8600G APU Review: Performance, Thermals & Power Analysis

Overall & Gaming Performance

The 8600G stays about 10% behind the 8700G, which is not a top performer. If you don’t care for the iGPU, you should go with the 7800X3D, which offers fantastic gaming performance, among others, if it is paired with a strong, dedicated GPU.

The 780M and 760M iGPUs are not that far away, in the titles I tried, at least. Nonetheless, 5-8 FPS can make a difference given that both iGPUs don’t even reach 60 FPS in modern games at HD and high details.

With a 100$ lower price tag than the 8700G, the 8600G performs exceptionally here.

Again, thanks to its very good price tag, the 8600G tops the chart.
