Box, Contents & Bundle
I got a 3-pack box from Super Flower. The box highlights the fan’s 3-phase and 12-pole motor design, while on the back side, you will find more details regarding technical specifications.
Everything is well protected in the box.
The bundle includes the following:
- 4x Fan Screws
- 4x Radiator Screws
- 1x Radiator + Halos Screws
- 1x Remote Controller (magnetic)
- 1x 500mm PWM Extension Cable
- 1x 500mm 15-pin SATA to 3 Fan Converter Adapter Cable
The remote control is magnetic to attach it to your chassis. This is useful for people like me who usually lose small things.
Fan width is larger than the typical, at 30mm, so you must ensure there won’t be any compatibility issues before purchase. The build quality is good, and like in most modern fans, SF used rubber dampers on the fan’s corners to filter out vibrations and lower noise output. The fan’s blades and frames are made of a liquid crystal polymer (LCP) compound, which can maintain its form even at extreme temperatures and is highly resistant to chemicals, weathering, radiation, and burning. In other words, this material is way better than plain plastic.
Some close photos of the fan.
Please compare the Super Flower Megacool 140 to the Iceberg Thermal Icegale Xtra 140 and the Noctua iPPC 140.
Noctua was supposed to send this fan, but they didn’t eventually. I guess they are pissed with the G2 review.
When a test of the Noctua IPPC 140mm 3000RPM for have a fan to compare it ? 🙂
Sent an email to Noctua and weirdly enough I didn’t get a reply. Will talk again to my contact there.
