SilverStone Shark Force 120 ARGB Fan Review

The SilverStone Shark Force 120 ARGB is a performance-oriented fan, featuring special design “shark force” fan blades, for lower noise. Thanks to its fluid dynamic bearing, it will enjoy a long lifetime, under normal operating conditions, and the RGB lighting will make happy many of you. 

The SilverStone Shark Force 120 ARGB has uniquely designed blades, whose design was inspired by the hydrodynamic properties of a shark fin. This is why they called this fan with that name! Thanks to its special blades, the fan promises high airflow and static pressure without increased noise. Well, this is something that I will check through this review.

According to the official specs, the fan can deliver up to 100 CFM airflow and up to 4.66 mmAq of static pressure, making it ideal for chassis and cooling solutions. For chassis use, you need high airflow, while for cooling solutions, you mostly care about static pressure. This fan is also fully modular, having two headers on its frame, one for the power connection and one for the ARGB lighting. It utilizes a three-phase, six-pole motor, which provides more torque than single-phase, four-pole design motors. The fan rotates through a fluid dynamic bearing, ideal for normal operating temperatures, providing reliability and low noise output.

For those of you who don’t want to pay extra money for the ARGB lighting, you can get the plain Shark Force 120 instead, which costs six dollars less.
