Advertised Vs. Real Performance
This is probably the most crucial page, showing how accurate is the data provided by the manufacturers/brands on their products. Since nobody so far could verify these numbers, it was an open field for every brand to declare whatever it wanted, but this stops now.
- Max Speed (RPM): 1100/ 1170
- Max Input Current (A): 0.12 / 0.06
- Max Power (W): 1.44 / 0.70
- Qmax (CFM): 51.3 / 49.97
- Pmax (mmAq): 0.92 / 0.79
- Max Noise Level (dBA): 13.6 / 18.6
The claimed airflow is 2.6% lower than the claimed performance, so it is accurate enough. The claimed static pressure is pretty far from the true one, with a 14.13% difference. The same goes for the maximum noise output, where I measured a 5 dBA higher level, which is a noticeable difference.
There are specific guidelines for taking noise measurements in information technology and telecommunications equipment (ISO7779: 2018), which I follow strictly.
On page 5, the 4th graph/image (static pressure) has an error, the 60% line reads 90%
That is all.
Thanks!!
