The Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420 A-RGB is the brand’s flagship offering. Compared to the previous model, it has improvements to the VRM fan and the cold plate and it comes with pre-installed fans, to make the installation process faster and easier. During the promo price period, it goes for less than 120 dollars, making it a top bargain!
I have already reviewed the Arctic Liquid Freezer III 280, which left a very good impression on me. In this review, I will look at the top model of the line, featuring a 420 radiator for even lower CPU operating temperatures.
The Liquid Freezer III has an upgraded cold plate and VRM cooler. The latter uses a fan installed at the top of the block, which sends air around the CPU socket and helps cool down the mainboard’s VRMs.
Arctic offers an LGA1700 contact frame in the cooler’s bundle to replace the stock one. The stock one locks the CPU to the socket at two points, leading to possible uneven pressure points that affect the contact surface with the cooler’s block. Arctic states that thanks to the provided mounting frame for LGA1700 sockets, the CPU is evenly locked to the socket, ensuring better contact with the cooler’s block. Indeed, Arctic’s mounting frame does a better job than the stock one, and this is clearly shown by the CPU’s power consumption readings.

Prices aside, what is the best AIO to use with the Phanteks T30 (that is, changing its fans), for low noise?
One with a large radiator. I would go for the Cooler Master Atmos 360.
