NZXT H6 Flow RGB Chassis Review

Epilogue

The H6 stands out thanks to its unique angled fan layout, chopping off one corner of the case for both aesthetic and airflow benefits. NZXT’s design language and build quality are present here. All panels are toolless, and the build options are flexible. The expansion slots are bridgeless and replaceable, though the bottom slot sits almost flush with the floor.

The angled corner does reduce secondary chamber space slightly, but there’s still plenty to work with. Component compatibility is excellent. Storage could be better, as it only supports one 3.5″ drive, which is weird in such a large chassis. The noise damping can also be improved. At least the amplification at 5KHz wasn’t that high.

Cable management is well thought out, with hooks inside and on the rear side of the secondary chamber. Cooling is also strong: the raised feet provide excellent airflow for bottom intake fans. The H6 Flow comes with three pre-installed fans, RGB or non-RGB variants. You can also add up to a 360mm AIO at the top and a 120mm fan at the rear.

If you’re into its unique look, the $134.99 asking price isn’t unreasonable, especially since there’s nothing quite like it, at least for now. However, if you’re currently shopping for an H6, the non-RGB variant might be the better choice. It’s on summer sale on NZXT’s website for $74.99 (regularly $109.99) and comes with the same three fans, the only difference being that they’re not RGB. This leaves more room in your budget for other components, or even a multipack of RGB fans, if that’s your preference.
