  4. Hello, I really liked the review of the CM v850 v2. You do a very good job and enlighten us, I had no idea that it is so complicated to choose a good source. Short question: is the RM850x (2021) worth 37 EUR/$ more than the CM v850 v2? I would have taken the Cooler Master MPY-850V-AFBAG, what puts me off is the thought that the system might be unstable (“Load regulation is not so tight, especially at 12V”)

  5. Ποιο από τα 2 τροφοδοτικά προτείνεις καλύτερα για νέο PC; Το Seasonic Focus PX-650W (διάδοχος του Focus Plus Platinum) η το Corsair RM650x (2021);

    1. Το Seasonic είναι σε ανώτερη κατηγορία efficiency. Αν τα βρεις ίδια τιμή το Seasonic, αν η διαφορά είναι σημαντική, το Corsair.

      1. Το βρήκα στα 121 ευρώ στο Skroutz και 112 το RM650x του 2021 στις χαμηλότερες τιμές. Έχουν πολύ μικρή διαφορά. Το χρειάζομαι για κάρτα γραφικών μέχρι RTX 3060 η intel ARC A750 και σίγουρα για 65W CPU αλλά πάνω απ’ όλα για την ασφάλεια και την προστασία που έχουν αυτά τα μοντέλα. Ευχαριστώ πολύ για τη βοήθεια.

      2. Καλησπέρα και καλή χρονιά!! Χρησιμοποιώ 7i 7700k gtx 1080 32gb ram και σκέφτομαι να πάω σε 4090 χωρίς άλλη αναβάθμιση, για 4k ποια η άποψη σου; evga SuperNova g2 750w θα μπορεί να σηκώσει το σύστημα και με undervolt gpu; χρόνια πολλά να είστε καλά να μας προσφέρετε ποιότητα!!

        1. Καλή Χρονιά! Κατά πάσα πιθανότητα θα δουλέψει το G2 750, αλλά για να είσαι σίγουρος θα σου πρότεινα το 850ari. Αν δε βρεις, G2, Corsair RM850x ή XPG Core Reactor 850.

          1. Το έχω το G2 750 στο PC τουλάχιστον για αρχή θα ήθελα να το κρατήσω και αν δεν κάνει για την 4090 να πάω σε ένα 3.0 pcie 5. Σε αυτή την κατηγορία έχεις να προτείνεις κάποιο;

    1. AMD Ryzen 7 5700x
    2. Asus Rog Strix 550-A
    3. MSI 6750xt trio
    4.G.Skill Aegis 32GB
    4.Deepcool CG560

  7. Hi Aris,

Impressive work as always! I am building a new pc and I have doubts with the PSU, in my country I have the following options available:

    Aorus GP-AP GM 750W – 85€
    Aorus GP-AP GM 850W – 115€
    XPG Core Reactor 750W – 110€
    XPG Core Reactor 850W – 135€
    Corsair RM850X Shift 850W – 175€

I see the Aorus is not in the list, is the XPG that much better? I am torn between going to the cheapest one, going middle ground with XPG or future proofing with the corsair for the 12VHPWR connector and the lateral layout of the cables.

    What would you recommend?

    Thanks!

    1. Hi! The Aorus is good enough, the one I tested some time ago. But I don’t know how the newer production batches are. I would go with the XPG ones if I didn’t want to invest in an ATX v3.0 PSU. Remember that you will keep the PSU for many years, so it is better to be as future-proof as possible.

  8. Hello Aris,

Sorry for posting on a older article. I am having big dilemma on my mind what should I do with my current power supply – Seasonic S12SSii620. Recently found out cultists tier list and read about group regulated psus, and now I trying to find best answer for my situation, which is either to buy new psu soon, or stay with this one and buy some real quality psu later when upgrading machine. I tried asking on forums and got different results, either it will be fine, either I don’t want that psu in my newer build.
The main components are ~1.5y old, gpu, psu are 4y old. Anyway, the pc is:
    i5 12400f, 32gb 3600, 2xnvme, 1xhdd, 5x 120mm vents, 1650 super– I thought about some upgrade here ~ rx 6700 level or lower, but…
These are psu which I can get in shops here :
Antec neo eco gold 600w ~80€,
Be Quiet pure power 11 Gold 600w ~95€
    Asus Tuf 750w bronze ~100€
Corsair CX 650 ~75€ (new CX, same price as CV)
    Cooler Master MWE V2 650W 230V ~75€
Fractal Design ION Gold 550 ~90€

Should I raise a budget and wait a little bit, 90-100€ is max I can afford now ?

    Thanks in advance !
