It is no secret that Logitech, especially among the older ones of us, is still very popular, and for a good reason. Its products redefined the balance between price and value back in the day. And while the competition is stiffer than back in the day, Logitech is still among the “strong cards” in the game. Am I a Logitech fanboy? Of course, not. I still deal with occasional flaws in its products (device not working, disconnecting, double-clicks), but nothing major. Some of its products are still in my heart, while others made me redefine the core meaning of sanity. But isn’t that a thing with almost everything in this life?
Anyway, there was always something that I “hated” about Logitech, the G-Hub app. I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve added it to my blacklist, along with other OEM crapware. I still wonder how some companies can offer such poor apps when there are better, free alternatives or great apps from lesser competitors. Hopefully, Logitech provides a much better (almost) portable alternative that I advise you to use instead (only for Logitech mouse users). Please welcome the Logitech Onboard Memory Manager.
Where To Download
You can download Onboard Memory Manager from this link. There is an extra step you should take to download it. In the initial page, you will be greeted with the “There are no Downloads for this Version” message. This is frustrating, but the step is simple. Click the “eject-like” button on the left side of the message and download the version compatible with your OS. Please refer to the attached images below. Only Windows 10 and 11 are natively supported, unfortunately.

Press the “Eject-like” button where the mouse-pointer points in this image. | Choose your OS accordingly. Wait for the download to complete. |
How To Install
Proceed with the installation as usual. Locate the file where you saved it, and double-click on it to run. As simple as that. If you wish, save it in any location that would be more convenient to you. Now, you can set DPI, Lighting, etc., without G-Hub’s nonsense. Great, isn’t it?

Keynotes
- It is almost portable.
- Sometimes it might need to rerun it.
- Settings might not be saved occasionally. Just save them again.
- Rarely, it might be unresponsive.
- Still, better than G-Hub.
- If you care only for RGB-syncing, many Logitech devices are compatible with Windows Dynamic Lighting. This way, you can avoid Logi’s app if you wish to.
- Convenient and straightforward interface.
- Only natively compatible with Windows 10 and 11. No native support for Mac, Linux, or older Windows versions.
