Super Flower Leadex 2800W ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Box & Bundle (or something else..)

Super Flower sent us a pre-production unit, without the retail box, so here is a photo of Hazelnut learning how to use a MacBook.

Product Photos

The PSU’s dimensions are enormous, since we are talking about 2800W here! The punched fan grille looks nice, and at the face of the unit, we find a heavy-duty power switch next to the IEC C20 receptacle.

The modular panel around the back includes 15 sockets, two of which are of the 12V-2×6 type.

Cables

Modular Cables
Description Cable Count Connector Count (Total) Gauge In Cable Capacitors
ATX connector 24-pin (590mm) 1 1 16-22AWG No
4+4 pin EPS12V (700mm) 2 2 16AWG No
6+2 pin PCIe (700mm) 6 6 16AWG No
12+4 pin PCIe (700mm) (600W) 4 4 16-26AWG No
SATA (550mm+110mm+110mm+110mm) 4 16 18AWG No
4-pin Molex (550mm+100mm+100mm+100mm) 1 4 18AWG No
AC Power Cord (1680mm) – C19 coupler 1 1 16AWG

The PSU has many cables, including two EPS, two legacy PCIe, and four 12V-2×6! The last can deliver 2400W alone and 4800W under transient loads! All cables are long, with the only exception being the 24-pin cable, which ideally should reach 650mm. The number of peripheral connectors is large, but the distance between them is small.

I have a question. How many Watts this psu can handle in 115/127V?!

  2. Hello,
is there a place where we can view the 20, 50% load transients for power supplies not covered here on Hwbusters?

  3. hello Aris wanna ask about legality of cybenetics logo, i’ve seen FSP VITA GM product certified data was Platinum but in boxes it just showing Gold efficiency, it’s still allowed by laws to put Gold effficiency logo on Platinum product ?
