Seasonic Focus GX-1000 V4 ATX v3.1 PSU Review

Efficiency Normal, Light & Super-Light Loads

Efficiency is not that high on all load ranges. Still, the PSU surpasses the 70% threshold with a 2% load.

The average efficiency is notably lower than the previous GX-1000 model at 115V, while the difference gets smaller at 230V.

Average PF

The APFC converter needs tuning for higher power factor readings.

Average Efficiency 5VSB

The 5VSB rail should be more efficient at 230V.

Vampire Power

Vampire power should be lower at 230V.

  1. Thank you for the great review! I’m personally waiting for the ATX3.1 compliant Vertex PX-1200. But a sales rep from Seasonic told me those are currently only available in Asians markets at the time. Do you maybe have an estimate when the ATX3.1 versions of the Vertex series become available in the EU?
