Like the 1000W model, the load regulation is within 1% at 12V but loose on the minor rails.

  1. Why did you mention fan being terrible yet according to noise levels its on the top of the list having lower dBA than some more premium units such as Corsair Shift. Also considering the PSU has 10 year warranty I’m sure they will replace it multiple times if it happens to die often, after 10 years well it’s time to replace PSU altogether anyway.

  2. Bought this psu after reading this review. My only concern is that my unit have coil whine when on idle from time to time.

    1. Check if the coil whine is from the PSU or other parts in your system. It also has to do with the situation, for example in some game menus where FPS are unlimited, it is natural to have coil whine (from the GPU)

  3. What about compare to hydro g pro series? Is there significant difference in term of quality and performance?

  4. Hi, between FSP Vita 850w and XPG Core Reactor II 850W which one would you recommend?
The XPG is about $15 – $17 cheaper here

          1. It’s now sold out everywhere in my region, alternative would be NZXT C850 for 230v? NZXT is $10 more than the XPG or the XPG might still be better choice?

  5. I just got this PSU and am experiencing quite a bit of coil whine. Is this something you’ve had while performing your testing?

Thinking of either replacing my set or just living with it.
