Enermax Revolution D.F.12 750W PSU Review

Box & Bundle

The box is small because the PSU itself is tiny. It offers good protection and has a sleeve with the PSU’s photo and various badges. Using a sleeve for the box is an easy way to add or replace data in future revisions since you don’t have to re-design the whole package.

Product Photos

The PSU is tiny, so the PCB will be cramped with parts, given the 850W max power. I would like to see a less restricted fan grille for improved airflow. At the front side, besides the AC receptacle and the power switch, there is an additional switch called D.F. This forces the fan to spin reverse to remove any dust build-up from the PSU’s internals. Enermax’s patented dust-free rotation (D.F.R) function has been proven to work well, which is why it is still available after all these years.

Cables

Modular Cables
Description Cable Count Connector Count (Total) Gauge In Cable Capacitors
ATX connector 20+4 pin (600mm) 1 1 16-22AWG No
4+4 pin EPS12V (700mm) 2 2 18AWG No
6+2 pin PCIe (600mm) 3 3 18AWG No
12+4 pin PCIe (600mm) (600W) 1 1 16-24AWG No
SATA (450mm+150mm+150mm+150mm) 2 8 18AWG No
4-pin Molex (450mm+150mm+150mm+150mm) 1 4 18AWG No
AC Power Cord (1100mm) – C13 coupler 1 1 18AWG

Enough cables and connectors are provided, and all cables are of sufficient length. The 12V-2×6 connector is set for 600W max power output, which is overkill for an 750W PSU. Lastly, the distance between the peripheral connectors is adequate at 150mm.

All cables are individually sleeved, so they look nicer. For the 12V-2×6 cable, individually sleeved wires offer higher flexibility and higher bent angles.
