Average Noise

The average noise output is high!

Fan Noise & Speed Maps @ 28-32 °C

[115V] The passive operation doesn’t last long if you exceed 100W on the minor rails. The problem is that after the semi-passive operation ends, the fan spins at high speed (>1000 RPM), with its noise output exceeding 30 dBA. There should be more speed steps, keeping the noise output below 25 dBA once the fan starts. At 820W and above, the noise goes over 35 dBA; with more than 975W, you will be treated with more than 40 dBA. Weirdly enough, the peak noise output is in a short operating range, between 1040 and 1070W loads. The fan speed profile generally needs more work to allow for lower noise output, especially at light loads.

  1. Wanna thank you guys for the review, I was doing an absolute ton of research a couple of weeks ago between 1000+ watt ATX 3.0 units, and between this and the PlatiGemini I ended up with this unit cause it had more PCIE, a longer warranty and was actually on sale for 270 US at time of purchase.

One thing I wanted to ask, is there a way to check if my native 12VHPWR cables are 12V-2×6? Anything to look for in the sense pins or the connector itself? I’d appreciate it cause all this crap around 12VHPWR is very confusing lol
