Deepcool PX1300P ATX v3.x PSU Review

Box & Bundle

When I received this sample, it didn’t come with the retail box, so the only thing I have to show you here is a photo of the provided cables.

Product Photos

This is the typical DeepCool PSU design, with the weird-looking fan grille with large openings allowing for good airflow. The PSU’s dimensions are compact, given its max power, thanks to the 160mm length. At its front size, besides the power switch, you will also find the hybrid mode button for toggling on/off the fan’s semi-passive operation. Given the increased capacity, I expected a heavy-duty IEC 60320 C-20 AC receptacle, not a plain C14 one.

Cables

Modular Cables
Description Cable Count Connector Count (Total) Gauge In Cable Capacitors
ATX connector 20+4 pin (600mm) 1 1 16AWG No
4+4 pin EPS12V (700mm) 2 2 16AWG No
6+2 pin PCIe (650mm) 5 5 16AWG No
2x 8 pin connector to 12+2 pin PCIe (650mm) (600W) 1 1 16-24AWG No
12+4 pin PCIe (650mm) (600W) 1 1 16-24AWG No
SATA (500mm+150mm+150mm+150mm) 2 8 18AWG No
4-pin Molex (500mm+150mm+150mm+150mm) 1 4 18AWG No

Plenty of cables and connectors are provided, including two high-power cables set at 600W each. The first takes power from a pair of 2x 8pin sockets, while the other is through a 12VHPWR header, at least in my sample, which was manufactured in Q2 2023. CWT might have updated the 12+4 pin headers on the newer production batches to 12V-2×6. This will be a silent upgrade, though.

  1. Wanna thank you guys for the review, I was doing an absolute ton of research a couple of weeks ago between 1000+ watt ATX 3.0 units, and between this and the PlatiGemini I ended up with this unit cause it had more PCIE, a longer warranty and was actually on sale for 270 US at time of purchase.

One thing I wanted to ask, is there a way to check if my native 12VHPWR cables are 12V-2×6? Anything to look for in the sense pins or the connector itself? I’d appreciate it cause all this crap around 12VHPWR is very confusing lol
