Deepcool PL550D: ATX v3.1 (almost) PSU at €49!

Efficiency Normal, Light & Super-Light Loads

Efficiency is low in all ranges, and the PSU doesn’t achieve over 70% efficiency with a 2% load. It also doesn’t pass 60%, which the ATX spec requires. This means the PSU doesn’t meet the corresponding ATX v3.1 spec requirement. I will ask Deepcool to send me another sample for re-testing since it is a great shame to be cut in this test while it passes the challenging transient response tests.

Average Efficiency

The platform’s average efficiency is low, especially at 115V.

Average PF

The APFC converter needs tuning for higher performance, primarily at 230V.
