Box & Bundle
The box follows the typical lines of the brand. It offers adequate protection, and the bundle is rich, including Velcro straps, zip ties, and fixing bolts for mounting the PSU on the chassis. There is also an OCK slot bracket with a switch and an OCK jumper, both having the same functionality: they combine all 12V rails into one. This helps you prevent system re-starts under overclocked conditions.

The exterior design is nice, to my eyes at least, and the build quality is top. It would be great though if the fan’s protection grille was less restrictive. The same goes for the exhaust grille. The unit’s dimensions are large by today’s standards. Still, every ATX-compatible chassis will easily accommodate it.

The number of EPS, PCIe, and SATA connectors is adequate, but I cannot say the same for the 4-pin Molex connectors. There are only two, while most PSUs come with four, especially in this capacity range. The cable length is satisfactory, and the distance between the peripheral connectors is good, at 150mm. Lastly, the 12VHPWR cable is set for 600W power output.
Hi!
I’m really interested in the DP13, but I’ve read a lot of reddit threads and horror stories about it either coming with an unbearable rattling noise off the bat or with the DP13 straight up dying right after installation or some time after, a week to a year.
Have you by any chance heard anything of the current stability and safety of DP13? The reddit threads have certainly died down in the past half a year, suggesting that perhaps bequiet fixed their batches, but I’m still very nervous about it, as it’s quite a pricey faustian bargain to take.
My sample worked as I described in the review. Unfortunately, I cannot do torture testing in all PSUs I get, but what I know is that be quiet! has a very strict policy on quality, and its PSU team takes seriously everything that users report, so I doubt any problems still exist.
