Synology launched its first ever security cameras today, the BC500 and TC500, for the SMB/enterprise market. These all-weather cameras feature on-board AI capabilities including people, vehicle, and intrusion detection.
Synology announced today the release of BC500 and TC500, all-weather cameras for smart surveillance in bullet and turret form factors. The Synology BC500 and TC500 feature advanced artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities, good video quality, and Surveillance Station video management system integration. This means you don’t any extra licenses to use them along with a Synology NAS running the Surveillance Station app.
Synology states that the cameras will be available later this year in the US and Canadian markets without setting a clear date and the final prices of the products. Given their specs, you should not expect them to be affordable.
