We visited Patriot’s booth, and we noticed some interesting products, the Viper Extreme 5, the Viper Elite 5, and the Viper PV553 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5 x4 Active Thermal Dissipation SSD.
The Viper Xtreme 5 is Patriot’s faster memory line, with speeds up to 8000MT/s. On January 15, 2023, the Viper Xtreme 5 was featured in Fugger’s system, which earned 1st place and a global world record for the PCMark Extended benchmark. It is already available if you have the proper mainboard to exploit it fully. If you want to go full speed, you should get a mainboard with only two memory slots, not four. I’ve also heard that the Raptor Lake-refresh CPUs will have an improved memory controller, which will help you exploit such fast memory modules on all mainboards.
The Viper Elite 5 is Viper Gaming’s newest DDR5 series geared towards mainstream gamers, tech enthusiasts, and content creators. Frequencies reach up to 7000MT/s, and it has optimized Intel XMP and AMD EXPO profiles.
The Viper PV553 M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5 x4 SSD is Patriot Memory’s first-ever PCIe Gen5 x4 SSD. The Viper PV553 offers sequential read speeds up to 12400MB/s and write speeds up to 11800MB/s, making it Patriot Memory and Viper Gaming’s fastest SSD produced to date. It uses a unique active cooling system with a tiny fan that promises a silent operation to keep its temperature low.
